2010 NSX
My intial thought was that it was too lengthy to be an S2000 replacement. But then consider that the Boxster is approximately 10 inches longer than the S2000. However, I feel that if Honda was to replace the S2000, the car would have a relatively short wheelbase like the current one.
That huge amount of distance between the driver's seat (look at the driver's helmet position) and the rear axle hints at a MR layout, and those exhaust pipes' configuration seems to back this up. Either that, or the vehicle is housing a 2+2 layout.
I think the larger hood bulge and more importantly the bulkier fenders are housing beefier front suspension - considering that the S2000's suspension is highly compact, its not a far stretch to imagine that a "supercar" like the NSX would nesscitate beefier and larger front suspension bits.
I'm just glad to see that Honda/Acura's sports car program is alive and kicking. Having mules out there on the Nurburgring means that Honda/Acura is serious in they're testing their vehicles on one of the world's most formidable tracks AND that they've migrated past the CAD stage of design. I took about 2-3 years for the Skyline GTR to migrate from a mule disguised as a Botox'd G35 coupe to a GT-R, so we can expect to expect the same of the NSX.
EDIT: All the above could be absolute rubbish, and that mule could be the next generation mid engined S2000 replacement to rival the Boxster...
Dare to dream

does anybody know what the term "mule" means here!@?!?!?!? that is NOT any new style of s2000 or nsx.. its a SHELL, and nothing else.
it would be the same car underneath if they just used cardboard and tape to cover the components.

Weather people know the term "mule" People will still state their thoughts on what they think about the car in the pictures. This is a forum where people chat about things, what good would this post be if no one was to state what they thought??
