I never thought the S2000's prices would drop so quickly. That guy from florida's silver S2000 ('01 w/ all spoilers, his own semi homemade cross drilled rotors, etc...) is about to close on ebay for under $28k w/ 12k miles...

That means my abused red w/ 20k is worth about $25k.

Getting a new one at MSRP actually sounds stupid at this point... Does anyone still pay MSRP? If i didn't already own one, a good used version for $28k sounds awesome! (unless LIPS2000 was the previous owner...that guy beats the hell out of stuff)

The S2k value hold pretty well... Consider this... 2 months after I bought my maxima, nissan was offering $4000 rebates on them... how do you like that for resale of the just purchased cars. For example, my Maxima was $26.5k drive out... people were buying the EXACT same car for $21K... htat meant my car was really only worth about $19k at that point, just a few months after buying the car. Yet another reason why I won't be buying another Nissan. Good thing I planned on keeping the car for a long time.

I have wanted a Yellow one so bad, but think I am just going to keep my Silver/Red forever. I figure in the next 2 years, I will put so much into aftermarket parts/performance and looks, that I will never get close to what it would be worth to me.

So in the next year or so, I plan on getting some sort of SUV.

I'm trying to sell mine... so far, only using ONLINE methods, its been dismal... I've had a few UNEDUCATED buyers, 1 guy call Friday afternoon to say he wanted to see it Saturday. I washed up the car and cleaned it up really nice, and he never showed!!! AARRRGGHHH!

Well, tomorrow is my oil change appointment, at the Acura dealer where I got the car. I will see if they want to buy it, and also how much their Honda store would pay for the car.

Then, I think I will run a print ad. My WRX (no flames please -- if you wanna know why, email me) should be here in June...
