Default 30,000 Mile Service

I am about to turn 30,000 on MY00. I got a quote from a local Honda dealership for $300 to do the service. I asked what the service consisted of and of course she didn't exactly know! "It keeps refering me to the owners manual"

Problem is I don't have the manual. Can anyone tell me what they do for $300? I assume air filter (which I don't need, K&N) tire rotation (do you need to rotate from left to right and vice versa?) and check all the fluids etc... What about tranny fluid?

Sounds like $300 is a lot of money to "check" everything.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Hmm... Intake filter. A/C filter. Diff fluid. Engine oil. All the inspection stuff. Other stuff too that I can't remember. Go to Honda's Owner Link and you get all you need to know. https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com

Do NOT have the tires rotated.

Thanks for the info. Another question - what about a radiator flush? Do I need this at 30k?

Okay, here's the full deal. Radiator fluid gets checked and topped off, but not flushed.

Replace engine oil and filter.
Inspect front and rear brakes.
Check pads and discs for wear (thickness) and damage.
Check calipers for leaks and check tightness of mount bolts.
Check tire inflation and condition.
Inspect tie-rod ends, steering gearbox and rack boots.
Check steering linkage for looseness.
Check fluid lines for damage and leaks.
Inspect suspension components.
Check bolts for tightness.
Check condition of ball joint boots for deterioration and damage.
Inspect driveshaft for cracks and check boot bands for tightness.
Check parking brake adjustment. Should be fully applied within 9 to 13 clicks.
Inspect brake hoses and lines (including ABS). Check the master cylinder, proportioning controlvalve and ABS modulator for damage and leakage.
Check all fluid levels, condition of fluids and check for leaks. If needed, add transmission fluid, engine coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid.
Inspect cooling system hoses and connections.
Check for damage, leaks and deterioration.
Check for proper fan operation.
Inspect exhaust system. Check catalytic converter heat shield, exhaust pipe, and muffler for damage, leaks, and tightness.
Inspect fuel lines and connections. Check for leaks.
Replace air cleaner element.
Replace differential oil (use SAE90 hypoid gear oil, API classification GL5 or GL6).
Lubricate all locks, latches, and hinges with multi-purpose grease or Honda White Lithium Grease.
Replace transmission fluid. Use Genuine Honda MTF.
Inspect and adjust drive belts.
Replace micron air filter.

Thanks for all the information!! After checking out some more info under the FAQ's I am going to skip the service and just have them change the various fluids (tranny, brake, differential, flush radiator) rather than pay 300 to have them look at hoses and grease door locks!! - know enough to do that myself.

How necessary is a valve adjustment for this car? Or just a valve inspection?

For what it's worth, my 30k service was only $223 at the local dealership. If $70 matters to you, you may want to call some other dealers.
