330 Ci vs. S2000?
Here is a subject that is near and dear to my heart. I was given the option by my father to either get a new car when I went to college, or when I graduated from college. I chose a new car going to college. Granted it wasn't a 35k car, but it was a nice 240sx. I loved the car, but by the end of college it was beat up with door dings, dents in the bumpers etc. I wish I would have waited. Just a thought.
I have the S2000 and I have a friend who has the 330ci.
His 330ci has the Harmon Kardon upgrade and he got his for $42,000.
Very different cars, I love my S and might consider an M3, but not the 330ci. Just an opinion.
Good luck.

a good friend of mine bought a 2001 330ci convertible in the summer of 2000. she paid a hell of a lot of money for it...$55k if i'm not mistaken. she has every upgrade possible. i told her to wait for the new m3 but she just wouldn't listen to me. now she is quite bitter. we have messed around on the streets a couple times and i pull on her easily every time...things would be very very different had she waited for the m3. i'm glad you chose the S. that's just my opinion though. i'm sure there are some great arguments for the 330.

Fully loaded, $32,000? Is that used?
The MSRP for a base 330ci is $34,XXX + tax. Fully loaded is like $41,XXX + tax, even invoice (cost) is like $35,xxx for the dealership. They sold the car to your friend and lost $3-4K? Can I have the name of the dealership?
330Ci and S2k are quite different, unless your going to get the convertible bimmer, if your going for safety, resale value, reliability, long term ownership, etc. get the 330ci if you want some drop top, fast, loud, eye popping, road hugging, did I mention loud? get the S2k

Hers must be auto. Sticks are much faster, but still, 0-60 mph for a 330ci topless (stick) is about 6.8 seconds.
