350Z or S2000
The 350Z looks like a nice car, but it will not have the unique flair of the S that causes everyone I run into to ask me about it and admire it. I took my S into the stereo shop the other day to get stuff done to it and the owner of the shop fell in love with it. He made me take him on a test drive and then he asked for my dealers name. Turns out he changed his mind about the Boxster S and now wants an S2000. No Nissan will ever elicit that type of response, not to mention will it ever run to 100,000 miles before the first major tune-up!

The S2000 is not a total love-it-or-hate-it car, but it does have sufficient uniqueness and, dare I say, inconveniences that narrow its possible buyers to a pretty adamant bunch of people, like yours truly.
Please let us know how the feedback from this list and others influence you and what your final decision will be. Good luck. -KM.
For your guys information, the 350Z has been delivered to a couple people already. You can see pics and get additional info at my350z.com.
Also from what I've read and seen in videos its not the the beast you think it is in the handiling department. Several reviews have compared it closer to the porsche 911 than the boxster in the handling and acceleration department.
Also the motor used in it has won more awards in the last 10years than any other motor manufactured for north america.

Let's see, for one thing, 30,000 350Zs made annually, so those things are going to be as common as vettes. If you can wait, sounds like you should drive 'em both & compare, as it doesn't sound like you're "sold" on the S yet. I haven't driven a more all-around "fun" car, at any price & doubt the Z will have the handling, nimble characteristics & won't feel as small as the S.
