Just got back from the Dealership.
It is a Chrome Silver, base model with "nothing" on it. MSRP $27000, $10,000 markup = $37,000.
It is way bigger than the S2K. It looks very nice (the body) though, especially from behind. The front looks a bit too thick. The 17" standard wheels, look ugly.
I sat in the interior for a while. You feel "lonely" inside, cuz the interior is so hollow. When you are inside the S2K, you feel secure and you feel that you are part of the car. The 350z's interior looks nicer than on magazines, in real life, it is not that cheap..... Visibility to the backview is not very good. The rear window looks weird from the driver seat. Maybe I am too used to driving topdown with the S2K.
The best thing about this car is the shifter. Nissan DID it!!!!!!! Nissan successfully copied 85% of the S2k's shifter to their 350z. It is short and it feels good, almost like the S2K's.
The salesman was very nice. I asked about the $10,000 markup, and he said it was just BS. If I am serious, he can get me $3,000 over and I can order any color and any model I want, and it will be here in 2 months.
Overall impression:
It is different from an S2K, but it is a nice car, bang for the buck. You must at least get the Performance model with 18" wheels and HID. For around $31,000 plus tax (Performance model), this is a very nice car. For people who don't like convertibles, this is your choice.

Hey, jakl27, **this portion removed by Siper2... jakl27's post has been edited, we need not address it anymore... thank you
** And Surf2k is right. We appear to be a rather articulate group of people. If you wish to fit in and participate, I would suggest that you use proper English. I personally find abbreviated English hard to read. Full words mean something to me; abbreviated or partial words don't. Now, let's get back to talking about our favorite car!!!

does anyone else think the 350Z sort of looks like it should be the next generation Prelude? with a little Honda styling added to the bumper, taillights, interior, a Honda diet, and a newly revamped H22B 2.2L 220hp i-VTEC motor, this car would sell quick. under the Nissan badge, for some reason i'm not so impressed. the N/A V6 should have been a boosted inline-6 from the factory. the track model has a lot of extras that should have been included in the original $28k price tag.
i'm positive that the 350Z will have a huge aftermarket, but along with that, the number of 350Zs on the road will be overwhelming. it won't be too uncommon to find more than a couple 350's in a parking lot at any given time. this is what turns me away from the 350Z. for the same price, the S2000 provides exclusivity. i'm sure the 350Z is a great car; i would take one if i had the extra money. but i would never trade my S in for a 350Z... never.

I was dead set on getting a Z3 3.0, took the S2000 out and loved it...the same should happen to you with which ever car you get.
