360 HP S2000
IMHO there will be no V6 for S2k until after the new NSX comes out.
The current S2k's performance is so close to that of the NSX at 1/3 the price, I doubt there is any way Honda will put a V6 into it until after the new V8 396 HP NSX comes out. If they took, say the V6 from the MDX, massaged it as only Honda knows how, they could probably pump about 320-340hp without adding any more than 100lbs. With that kind of HP/Weight ratio, not to mention the increased lower end torque and flatter torque curve that a V6 provides, the S2k would out perform the current NSX, at 1/3 to 1/2 the price and a convertible to boot!
It's all about position and marketing...until the new NSX comes out, dont expect any major engine upgrades...wouldnt want to piss off big brother!

Honda did their homework and gave us a great present for their 50th birthday -- I, for one, am very happy with it!
So, the logical projection is that a new S3000 (S2000 modified with a V6, an MDX or NSX-based motor) could be in the offering when the V8 NSX hit the market. Should the S2Ki club register a Trade Mark/Name "S3000"? and when time comes negotiate with Honda the permit to use the name for a few $$ and for example, to allow Rick to use the logo on his after market products...
