The cars is great in stock form besides the lake of power that really sucks but the car is perfect once it's boosted.

I think I've seen you post this 3 times in the last week in 3 different threads. I don't think its underpowered; maybe you were driving it wrong or it was the wrong car for you. I loved this car even before I boosted as it was a different sort of fun. Now I do agree it is more fun once boosted but its not for everyone.

Just a note that 4500rpm is about 85mph. Not even I can run this fast all the time. I can make a 300 mile trip at nearly this speed routinely on one tank of gas. 300miles/12gallons = 25mpg (not 16).

Yeah, just realized when I was driving home lol. Meant 4k. And like I said earlier I averaged it the week I got the car months ago. (Heavier foot)

Not much for me.
My RX-8 was about 18 MPG, so I love the MPGs I get from the S.
It is tight but I'm a fat azz at 6-1.

I do wish the steering wheel tilted...

I agree.. it is a lot more fun boosted but I don't think it is that underpowered. But then again everything is a lot more fun with more power. Of course, this is very subjective and this is just my humble opinion. I'm not really a power whore, I just really appreciate a good driving experience. We do have to drive our cars much differently though to enjoy the motor. The transition from driving my sr20det to the s2k is staggering when I realize that my SR puts out less power, but can leave the light like a bat out of hell compared to my torqueless wonder.

My main complaint is the fit. I'm a bit too big at 6'2" and 220. I'm not fat but I like to weigh 205-210 when in shape. I have broad shoulders and my upper back doesn't fit well between the bolsters. I just installed BYS seat rails and they help but another inch lower would be nice. If I was any bigger this car wouldn't work for me. I don't see how guys over 6'3" could own this car.

Maybe my suitcases are 21", yet two of them stack in the truck well. I'm made several weekend and two week trips with everything packed in the trunk, both slop and with a passenger. I did get the removable Surco luggage rack and added red oak slats. We used that to carry folding beach chairs on one trip. I know someone who used that rack to haul a flat rear tire while on an extended trip.

I have picked up tips on packing light (and smart), and as a result have gotten rid of all suitcases larger than carry-on size. I can pack for a week in a carry-on bag and two of those bags fit like they were made for the S. I would feel comfortable taking the S on overnight and even 5,000 mile trips. I also pack extra oil and cleaning supplies.

My mileage is about 20-23 mpg combination city and highway driving. When I want increased mileage, I keep the RPMs as low as 3K. That will keep me at the speed limit most times, but the car is too fun to stay down there for extended periods.
