Well I broke 600 miles yesterday and finally could drive the car the way I used to drive my 2001 S2000. My personal feeling is that I don't miss the 9000 rpm redline all that much. The engine really does continue to pull strong all the way up to 8000 without any notice of drop off. I would agree that 9000 would have been better because the fun does end a bit too soon but the added power down low is a huge difference and well worth the trade off for me.

The other thing I noticed is the the vtec change over is not quite as dramatic but that has been touched on by others before. For my personal driving style this car suits me better than my 01 did but I do agree with you guys that the slower steering ratio takes some of the fun out.
