7500 mile scheduled maintenance
Well, I'm at about 7475 miles right now, and just scheduled my first service appointment for next Monday. The question is, is it worth the $79.95 that Honda charges for basically an oil change and visual inspection of everything else? I live in the city, so can't/won't change the oil myself.
Can/will Honda be able to deny any future warranty claims if I don't have the proper paperwork, showing that I've performed the scheduled maintenance on the car?
Anything else I should have them do, if in fact I do get the service done? Diff. fluid, MTF replaced? I've done a search and have found a lot of conflicting advice, so I figured I'd ask again (and again).
Finally, I had a few things pop off the car recently, so will probably have them install them again while I'm in the shop. I have a bad feeling they're going to charge me, even though these parts just seemed to rattle off (one of the tonneau cover bolts and the auxillary power outlet). Are these things covered under warranty? The bolt is missing, so I'd need a new one.
Thanks!

$80 is an awful lot for an oil change. I can do it myself for under $15 in less time than it would take to drive to the "stealer." (And I know that it was done right!)
The only other item that the manual suggests for the 7500 mile service is to check the tire pressures.
I've always been curious about trying to claim warranty work after I've done the maintenance. I keep receipts for the oil and filters. Fortunately, I've never had to take a car in for drive train repairs during the warranty period. (knock-on-wood)
Seems like the bolt and power outlet should be covered.

jeez, some Honda dealerships have a drive through oil change for $30 or so...make sure they use the proper Honda OEM oil and the PCX oil filter and run the visual fluid checks and tire pressure checks (you should be doing that yourself every gas fill)....oh and i think many people agree that getting the diff fluid changed at 7500mi would be a good think
