? about clear side markers...

if you replace the amber side markers with the clear JDM's, do you have to put in amber bulbs to be legal?

That depends on where you live. In Texas it is legal to have white light. Check your states laws for details. But many S2000 owner do install amber bulbs.

i changed mine to smoked... and used the old bulb, which is amber.
maybe they changed this after the '00 model?

As Stratocaster said, check your local laws. If they are required and you can't find amber bulbs, use the Sharpie method.

I used the amber bulbs and sprayed the top of them with silver paint. They blink orange but you can't see any orange when you look at them.
