Default ? about Kumho 712s

For the people that have these on their car, does anyone have 245/45/16 on their rears? I was thinking about doing this, and wanted to see if anyone else had done this already. Thanks.

I believe that's the preferred size for non-OEM tires on 16-inch rims. Should be lots of them out there.

I'll be very interested to see the replies, since this is what I plan to do when I get S-03s in a few months.

I would have 245's if I could have got them... the 225s are a little narrower than stock.

I had a set of them early last year and I had 225/50's up front and 245/45's in the rear. Don't expect the car to handle quite as well with 712's but for the price they are a bargin.

Just got my full set installed. 225-50-16 front and 245-45-16 in rear.
Definately smoother ride but too early to tell if handling is changed as tires need to wear-in.
If you don't race Khumo seems to be the way to go. Much less expensive than S-02 or S-03 with supposed handling nearly as well. I have friend who has 712 on rear and his S2000 seems to handle well.

Got em too. Nice tires. Great wet traction, good dry traction. At like half the price of the stock tires, they work great and are easy on the wallet. They have maybe 80% of the limits of the stockers, which makes them more fun on days when tailsliding is necessary. Should last longer, too, provided one keeps the aforementioned buffoonery to a minimum. They also look cool.

Thanks guys. I don't do any racing, and actually the car is going to my father, and he doesn't either, so that was the reason I was going with the kumhos. Just wanted to see if people were using 245s or not. So I'll probably buy them this way. Also, people will find this hard to believe, but I have over 34,000 miles on my ORIGINAL S02s. So obviously, I barely do any hard driving whatsoever.
