If you are really worried about the diff, PM puddydad or Jcarlton, they can both provide you with VERY strong cryo'd diffs for a great price.

Um, I don't really think you are, or you would understand there is nothing wrong with hitting the rev limiter.
Lol, yeah right. Some cars take the limiter in stride, whereas others cant take it. How about a Corvette upshifted at the limiter, but mechanically over reved because the inertia the car had. So.... 1-2 limiter touch, 2-3 hits the limiter with a bit of a delay on the drivers part, so limiter a little long, and over revs, causing some valvetrain damage. You CAN still mechanically over rev upshifting even with the limiter. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it! Nothing like comming into my thread and pissing on the wall eh!

On with the topic!

"$5400 cad for a complete diff! If that is the actual price, Ill throw out the car and buy a new one !"

Yea, stupidity can be expensive. As to buying a used S2000, I'd never buy one that had any aftermarket stuff on it. Sure signs that it has probably been raged out. I'm amazed how an engine with 11:1 comprssion ratio can survive long with people adding turbo chargers. The car must have a good ignition control to retard the timing when detionation starts to occurr.

burnouts+clutch dumps = not good

redline shifts = necessary to experience the car's full potential
