Well if this adds any data:

I had 2 car accidents before I hit 20 that were my fault. I definitely attribute those to inexperience. One was because of riving to fast on black ice. The other was driving too fast in general.

I have not had a single accident in the last 8 years. ( Knock on wood ).

I remember though when I was 16-17 I thought I was the best driver I knew! huh.. how's that for inexperienced?

Thanks koshiro for gathering those threads together. The results of this poll weren't much of a surprise to me. We've had some recent threads attempting to make a correlation between people crashing their S and their ages, some of the younger drivers here were a bit incensed that they were becoming victims of ageism. Clearly there are more S2000 drivers in the 20 to 30 age group than any other, but do more in that category crash because they have fewer years of driving under their belts, or simply because there are more S2000 drivers in that category? Food for thought.

Soon to be 62, hydroplaned into a wall at 70 mph a year ago. Hit VTEC every time I drive and hit 100 mph almost every time I drive. Just do it in safer places than I would have when I was younger. I think younger people get into more wrecks because of the testosterone factor and no fear, not necessarily less experience cause they have the reflexes us old guys wish we still had.
