Default Accord Entry For S2K

So I got my car in a wierd way...

I bought it from a private seller, but he had it listed on a lot briefly. The lot lost the keys, and they had to flatbed it around, and made new ones.

When the car arrived (in Seattle from PA), I only had ONE key! No keyless entry buttons, no spare, and no valet.

I emailed the seller, and he was great, he just said the dealer mailed me the master key...

A few days later, I get a keyless entry piece that needed to be set to my car, but no other key. I figured oh well, I'm lucky they sent anything. I bought myself a spare, and tried setting the buttons.

I couldn't get the buttons to set, so I asked my local dealer to do it. They couldn't. Finally they realized my piece goes to an Accord (or so they say)!!!!!

I bought the spare for $40 (complete with chip, so it does the engine, too), but the keyless entry pieces are $100!!!!!! Now I can't even set my alarm. So I park my car, lock the doors, leave it in gear, lock the wheel, and put the top up... But that's it!!!

Is there anything I can do? What would you recommend I do? Suck it up and buy a new piece? See if I can sell mine on Ebay or something? Fight the PA dealer? Hrmmm or should I just upgrade the whole alarm while I'm at it? Any recommendations with that? CompUstar? Lojack? etc.???

TIA and thanks for reading this far!!!

Sorry, but what's a FOB? If it's a blank, I thought I had one... But apparently they are still car specific. Honda wanted $100 for a blank S2k pad!

If anyone has a spare one, I will work something out with you!!!

The keyless entry can be reprogrammed where the old remotes can't be used.

Depends whether you actually have an OEM alarm or just keyless entry. If its just keyless, then the remote doesn't do anything different than what you're doing with your key.

Either way, just buy one from a member here or off ebay for a few bucks. No biggie really.
