Default ACT clutch info needed

I was doing research on the ACT clutch disk in this forum and came across contradicting info on the disk. Some claim that it is just a modified OEM disk and others claim that it is an untouched OEM disk selling for twice the price. Who is correct?

The disc is OEM. It even has honda stamped in it. The pressure plate has stronger clamping springs than the OEM unit.

I bought the whole deal (pressure plate and disc). Makes an awesome difference, sorry to say that I didn't notice what was stamped on the disc though. But all around it is a great setup.

I know this isn't what you asked, but just thought I would put in my $.02

I installed an ACT myself, aside from the Yellow paint and the beefy springs, It's a OEM clutch assembly.

The pressure plate is a re-worked/strengh OEM pressure plate and the clutch is an un touch OEM clutch disk. My advice buy the ACT pressure plate and but the OEM clutch at your local Honda dealership. The kit works very well, and I know many people here in the forum who run this kit N/A and FI and they are very happy with it.

Thanks everyone for the info. I guess this confirms that the ACT disk is an untouched Honda disk. And for those who did there own work, how long did it take you? Seems like an impossible job to do at home.

About 5 hours, but I've yanked a few S2000 transmissions. I also did it on a rack, which makes the job much easier. I also removed and tapped my oil pan for the supercharger oil drain the same day.
