Adding Defroster Switch/Wiring to a 2000 S2k??
I now have a 2002/2003 top on my 2000 s2k, but no wiring yet to electrify the defroster.
BTW, thanks to all at S2kInternational who helped with information and support for convertible top tear issues, especially Clovis who authored and posted the conversion instructions in the S2kI-Library. I just had my top replaced at DeLand Honda, where Tom (the Service Manager) is a prince.
Anyway, back to the new issue......
I think the 2002/2003 uses a defroster switch in the dash, where I have a blank panel over a hole definitely intentioned for a switch. I also see that the hardtop kits (I don't have a hardtop) puts the switch in the console. If I have a choice, I'm going to try for the dash switch.
Tom's going to loan me the newer service manual, so I can compare to mine.
Anyone succeeded here? I see a number who have updated tops, but I believe that none have their defroster electrified.
