Default Aerokit Front & Side Spoilers

I am considering a new S2000 and really like the looks of the "ground effects" package, or front and side spoilers. I like the look of the trunk spoiler too.

I don't see many s2000s with these items. When I scan this site's gallery I don't see any vehicles with these items.

What is the deal? Are they not practical? Will the vehicle bottom out with the front and side spoilers because it sits too low.

Sorry, if this is a dumb question. But I don't want to pay the extra coin if I'm just going to scrape them up everytime I go up an incline.

Let me know what your experiences are. It would be helpful for me.

Many have these installed and back in the day, dealer would install these and charge big bucks (+ the upcharge). So there are quite a few out there. If you like them, they are very easy to install your self and you can save a bunch doing so. Check out the board sponsors for pricing (see the link at the very bottom of this page). Their pricing is about 350-400 each (round numbers), so at the most it will cost you about 1200 to add these to your car your self, and some members have paid 3000-4000 to have them installed at the dealers. So nego on the price of these with them.

The OEM front sits 1/2" lower, where many aftermarket one are 1". That makes the front stock height 3 1/2" with the OEM front. Personally I can't afford that 1/2 becasue my driveway is steep and I have to be very carefull already.

I hope that helped.

I bought A new oem rear spoiler for 100 dollars on ebay. I bought new oem side strakes for under 200 on ebay. So there are deals to be had. So look carefully before ya buy. Ohhh and don't buy the next cheap Berlina oem front spoiler....because I need one and i'll be mad if ya out bid me.

As far as installation the rear spoiler is a twenty minute job. The strakes take a bit longer 2 hour total. But both are easy jobs just take your time and read the directions a few times.

i installed my OEM front lip today at work and it makes the car so aggressive and better looking. exactly what i was looknig for. without the front lip, the stock frontend looks "cute" to me and is not appealing.

took me and a friend 30 minutes, it was easier since we had access to the lifts in the shop.

5/5 front lip

Thanks for your opinions. Now that Razor and Bucwheat have these items installed, are you scraping or bottoming out more often.

Or is that nothing I should be worrying about. I live on a pretty steep incline, that is why I ask.
