Are aggressive offsets the "new rice"...
Ugh! Kill it with fire indeed. Hellaflush is rice.
In fact, I'm now a big fan of both "Kill it with fire" and the term "Helladouche".
You know what looks good flush? Tire sidewalls flush with the rim lip. Tire sidewalls vertical and *somewhat* flush with the fender edge. If you're going to put wider wheels on, you need to put wider rubber on too.
"Hellaflush" just looks like you're too poor to afford properly-sized tires. "255s are HOW much? Naw, I'll just go with the 225s and save ten dollars."

This has nothing to do with age. I am 66 and since I was 16 I have considered any mod so long as (a) it didn't look stupid and (b) it could be shown to improve performance, handling, and/or fuel efficiency. I don't see how Hellaflush does these things, and can see a lot of reasons why Hellaflush could HURT these things. I don't want any.
i couldn't care less about this hellaflush scene. to each his own, if someone wants to fck up their car at their own expense, then be my guest. what's cool to some is uncool to others. by no means am i defending this trend, because to begin with i don't even know what hellaflush is, but what i'm noticing here is a lot of hypocrisy in a sense. we're comparing function versus form, right? in all honesty, how many of us have even seen a track? (if you're a track junkie of course this doesn't pertain to you) if this is the case, then we might as well hate and bash on all the s2000 owners who drag their car.
i simply find this to be amusing because we are hating on something that isn't ours or isn't affecting us, or is it? i say just let them be, soon the trend will slowly but surely die off like all others. before you go judging, i'm part of that age category (22) that tends rebel with society's norms.

^^oh god, why does everyone blame the track whores? thats such a bitch excuse for an answer! "not everyone tracks their s2000"
how does comparing function vs form equal to track vs hellaflush? Function is daily drivability while still enjoying the car and not worrying about scraping frame or damaging your fenders and getting uneven treadwear. nothing to do with tracking lol having a comfortable ride means alot to some, I guess
and this is the internet. opinions are a must. I just dont understand why people post stuff online and not expect good or bad criticism

I'd rather come across a Hellaflusher than a street ricer. At least the Hellaflusher won't try and keep up (ooh, I can't clear that speed bump without damaging my fenders, I'll have to crawl over it sideways). The street ricers are the dangerous ones... a little straight line speed, but no brakes or suspension.
