Default Alignment on a Lowered S2000?

I have a question for those with a lowered s2000. Has anybody got an alignment job at a honda dealership? I took my car to honda and they told me they couldnt align my car because it was too low and there machine wasnt able to do it. My car is lowered only 1 inch.

Go with the UK alignment specs! They should be able to do it...my is down almost 2 inches and the dealer had no problems.

This is BS, go someplace else. I was lowered 2" at one time and had no trouble getting mine aligned. 1.5 lower than stock and been aligned twice with no problem. Try finding some place with a Hunter machine.

The reason your dealership (and many other places) probably cannot allign your lowered S is because they are using an older machine (I'm sure the technology side of the machine has updates within Honda's compliance).

My Honda dealership's rack has such a short ramp to it (due to cramped space) that they cannot even get a stock S2000 on it - luckily our Toyota and BMW stores are only a few blocks away with newer equipment. I'm surprised your dealer isn't contracted with an outside allignment rack to handle lowered cars - maybe there just isn't enough business in your area to handle this.

Before anyone else says how bad a dealership sucks for having an old rack, you might want to do a little research to see how much the new racks are

I feel good about a place when they tell me they are worried about hurting the car on their equipment - it is the places that just drive your car onto a rack (like it is a SUV) that scare me
