All 240 ponies?
But I wouldn't know how to use my horsepower.. I came from a 1990 Toyota corolla ---> 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse Gs ---> 2002 Honda s2000. I'm still overwhelmed by the current power!
The 1.20 is just a rule of thumb. Some cars lose much more power through the drive train than others.
Crank HP (or horsepower at the flywheel) is what is always quoted by manufacturers. They dyno engines, not cars. This isn't practical in the aftermarket world because in order to dyno an engine you would have to remove it from the car along with the wiring required to hook up the ecu and a few other controls. Much easier to strap the drive wheels to a big drum (chassis dyno which measures whp).
One other difference...until recently Crank HP was not measured with a full exhaust system. Now it is...hence the change that Sabre referred to.
Be sure to spend some of your 3 grand on a 3.56 or 3.77 rear end (differential gears). These will reduce your gear ratio and improve acceleration. The cost is somewhat higher RPM when you are cruising on the highway at 70 or 80 in sixth gear.
Don't spend a nickle until you have had plenty of time to browse this site and see what works (from a performance view) and what doesn't. Ths S2K is no civic. It is well tuned from the factory...hence the highest specific output of any production engine...110 to 120 HP per liter (roughly). Gains can be had but only in small increments and with a fairly healthy outlay of cash. At least until you have enough to lay out for forced induction.

Holy shit $3 million for FI!!
I'm just kidding with you. And to the OP, stay stock if you think the current HP is enough
