All these beeping sounds are driving me crazy...
So a week after buying my car, some spring for the ignition starts acting up. After I pull the key out, the car still thinks it's in there. Obviously I can't start the car (thank god), but it keeps beeping at me until I reinsert the key, wiggle it around, hear a pop... then pull it out. This is very annoying, and doesn't make me look very cool.
Besides that, the stupid seatbelt warning comes on even when the car isn't idling... the key just has to be turned all the way over. Am I the only one who thinks this is stupid? Then don't even get me started on the headlight warning...
My question is this... I'm taking the car in for service (the ignition issue) this week. Would most dealerships agree to disable the seatbelt, headlight, and ignition warnings? I sense there might be liability issues here. If they won't, does someone have a tutorial on how to do all of the above? Thanks guys.

THIS was posted in the electronics forum the other day....
your dealer wont disable them for you, the same as the wont disable DRL on GM cars (I tried when I had a trailblazer!)
