A lot of people skip the cylinder, and that's why you see all the crooked Amuse lips on the forum. Those pieces are there to hold the lip in place properly. I guess most people don't care though.

It's quite possible to mount an amuse lip straight without the cylinders. Mine is not crooked at all.
