Another converted 'stang GT driver.
Maybe when you said
You meant to say, overall, the GT doesn't even compare.
GTs are nice cars though, with a minimal of work (or maybe not even?) they'll hang with an s2k probably to the 1/4 mark. No one likes to hear bad things about their car though, so I'll add this: Those GTs are fast fast fast.

Overall car for car, the stook doesn't even compare!

Well, my first and previous car was a 2000 Mustang GT COUPE. Great car, fast, loud, but guess why I got rid of it. Try 3 transmissions and constant trips to the dealer. I have to admit, I do miss it a little. I wouldn't go back, but it would be nice to have both. The stang would be my everyday driver. Off the line, I think that the stang can be a little faster , but of course it does have more torque, which gives you the impressions of going fast, so I'm not sure. I know one thing for sure. The Mustangs just don't pull as hard on the highway as our new cars. The convertible Mustangs are pooches, the same with the autos. The convertibles are 3 or 4 hundred pounds heavier and you can feel it! The automatics loose way too much power through the just as crappy automatic transmission. We can beat them guys! I can't wait to go to the track and see one in shock after I whoop em. Notice how I haven't gone to the track yet? It's getting cold cold cold!
Link to a pic of my Mustang
See what you guys did! Now I can't stop thinking about it. I'm starting to miss it!

With the lesser priced Stang the extra money sure can make an awesome ride.
