So it's not the cop, it's not the car, it's YOU.
Did I ever place blame on the car or the cop? No. I take full responsibility for my actions. Shit happens...I just needed to vent. The S is a fun car to drive fast though, even before my morning coffee

Any suggestions on how to mount the front license plate? Do I have to drill the front bumper? I'd like the ugly thing to look as good as it can if I put one on. I hate to add one onto the front, but I would rather not get fined again or get pulled over for being without.

The Valentine V1 is a great radar detector. www.valentine1.com

Even when I'm within the limits of the law, I really like knowing when a cop is shooting radar. It has worked very well for me, but you should understand the limitations of any radar detector before relying on one.

Just pull the two plugs from the threaded holes in the bumper, bolt your plate directly on. It fits perfectly, and I think it's the neatest look if you have to have a front plate.

I did this after getting a fix-it citation. I put a strip of foam tape on the back of plate so the metal doesn't scratch the bumper.

Thought for no front plate: Keep it under your seat, and put inside your windshield if you get stopped/see a cop. I live in NY state, and I think this is legal. Another thought I've had, but haven't tried yet: Make a windshield "shade" with my plate number and mount like the bands that you can buy to mount on the top of the windshield. Finally, I run without a front plate on my car too. In 10 years of doing this, I've only received one eq't. ticket. Paid it and kept the plate off..
