isnt the DBW on 06+ motors quite a hassle to deal with when swapping into a MY00-05? Great to hear that its working though.

they swapped all the parts needed from the old engine to the new engine to make everything compatible. They didn't take the 08 engine and just drop it in. Intake manifold, valve cover, whatever wheel/sensor that sits inside the valve cover that the cam position sensor detects was all swapped from what I know of.

 

well if thats the case you can now use flashpro! Im wondering if the throttle/gas pedal/ecu assembly is any different from 00-05 cars since you now have a drive by wire motor.

 

the engine may originally have had DBW, but it doesn't now. I'm using the old intake manifold/throttle body from the bad engine on this 08 engine that's currently installed.
