Oh by the way, my brother was also in MD and a MD licensed driver, so if it does go to arbitration, the same rules will apply.

Thanks for the tips and the Matrix-esque advice, "KNOW IT WAS GREEN". I have been perfectly clear with everyone since I stepped out of the car that I had a green light. After the police showed up and got my statement and the other drivers and then told me their version about them claiming to have a green arrow I let the officer know in no uncertain terms that they were lying.

This was a pretty big intersection with two overhead traffic lights in my direction (one for each lane) and I was driving straight for at least a quarter mile before the intersection. For them to have gone yellow and red without me noticing them just isnt a possibility.

I am so thankful that the witness was there to see the whole thing and came forward and gave me their info - its the kind of thing you dont immediately think about after a crash. When I gave the officer the witness info (they had left already by the time the police showed up) he said since there were conflicting stories and this witness was the only neutral party he would contact them and base his decision on what they said. Hopefully when I get the police report today everything will be all locked up solid.

Me 50 mph (speed limit on the road) - they were turning from a near stop and were traveling perpendicular to me so I dont think its relevent (e.g. you cant add the two speeds) but I would guess pretty slow, 10-20 mph

Glad you're ok. I was a passenger in a car making a left thru a yellow light in Buckhead (Atlanta). My friend saw the yellow, said "I can make it," hit the gas and turned left. As soon as we cleared the pickup in front of us we saw an Intrepid coming straight at us. Intrepid was doing about 50mph, us about 25mph, almost a direct head-on, damage very much like pix above. We were in 96 camaro.

Anyway, my friend was ticketed for failure to yeild. The other car was speeding and my friend complained, but the cop's words were, "I don't care if he was going 100, you turned right in front of him." Other driver was not ticketed. I had two surguries to repair my knee that was smashed on the dash. It's still problematic after 4 years.

Crash

Sorry to see and hear about the accident. I wrote off my car a month ago. It is painful to loose a car but I am really glad that everyone is ok. I felt gutted when I crashed mine because I loved my car and had spent nearly 5 hours two days before cleaning and waxing it and getting two new tyres on it.

I also had a black 03 model and I loved that color. But you are so right about keeping it clean. It is a royal pain in the ass to keep nice and shinny. I have now ordered a moonrock silver for March delivery. Hope everything works out the best for you too.
