I think we will find that Vehicle Grade (Series) gives you 3 variations of car And in 2000/2001 service manual it shows that models shipped to Canada last 6 digits starts with 8 instead of 0 . This would alow Honda to sub divide ( Series) cars to the 7 required areas .

All we need to prove is get Serial # from each area.

My brother bought 8857 in Boise Idaho last week with 1100 miles on it. I think it was first registered in Sun Valley, Idaho. (red with black interior).

 

The last digits would have to be 808857 to be Canadian model
