is there any difference in the '00, '01 and '02 models in regards to transmission/motor issues?

The transmission is supposed to be better (I don't know how) for the '02. All years have the same engine.

from my experience with an '02 test drive,
the '00 has a firmer clutch (i.e. takes more pressure to depress the clutch) vs '02.
still wouldn't trade my baby in for one. the '02 has a nice glass rear window though.
no experience with the '01.
