Actually I need help getting the stupid thing off. It's the stupid side tabs. I have tried pliers, screwdrivers, and lots of swearing with little success. I have the instructions and it hasn't worked yet.

red, I just completed this a week ago and yes it's a pain! I found that I needed to remove a bit more material on the "melt-on" spots. After doing this, using needle nose pliers and some finger pressure allowed it to finally pop out.

Another hint: My boot seemed too small and woulnd't fit around the corners and onto the pins, so I warmed it up a tad with a hair dryer and streched it carefuly by hand. It went on snug after that.

Good luck!

Hmmm. The melt on spots seem okay. Its just the side tabs that won't come out.

Use vice grips to get the tabs unstuck...then a screwdriver to push them through
