Anybody drive in the rain with the top down?
Three of us drove in a snow squall this weekend in eastern PA not more then 5 miles. We were driving in a group with other cars on an aggressive run in the twisties. Roads were dry at this point and I was still dry and toasty in the S2000. We got some looks but I think they were just admiring the cars.
The one and only time I ever drove my S2K in the rain was with the top down. It wasn't really rain, but a light sprinkle. The drops were huge though and the only time water ever got inside the cabin was when I was stopped at a red light. Since it was just sprinkling, the car didn't get very wet.
Was driving with my wife and we ran into a squall. The trunk was full of stuff and the top-cover was on, so it would have been a challenge to put the top up. So we just kept going. The rain turned into a bona-fide downpour... I rolled the side windows up and no rain at all came into the cabin that I can recall. The wife was delighted by the experience. The passing SUVs drivers all gave us a funny look.
You don't need to go that fast (55-65) to stay dry. Fortunately, we have EZPass, so we didn't have to stop to pay the toll, otherwise we would have been soaked.

Bump! just did this today. It was ridiculous. It was raining substantially, so my face was dry, but top of hair got wet, as well as the windscreen, door panels, and the top's of the seat back. Well, it was definitely fun getting looks from people. haha.
I'm tall enough that the top of my head gets damp.
I find that with the windows up, water trails up the glass and then spits inside.
With them down, it spits right off the A-pillar.
I usually will lower my Windows about 1-2" which creates a break so the water cant track up the window as well, but there's not enough room to get into the cabin.

But yes, I've gotten lots of looks driving up around Portland on I5 in pretty heavy downpours. My co-CO and his wife once met a friend for dinner who said "We saw a car like yours driving topless in the rain" on the same day that I was cruising up there for some reason or another. Small world

Ahha, it was a blast, albeit a little dangerous if traffic is heavy.
