Is this TSB for the buzzing clutch something that the dealer is obligated to perform? What is the policy exactly? What is the extent of the TSB dealing with the clutch buzz, ie replacement or adjustment? Is there an expiration in terms of timeframe?

MY01 with 56000k and a buzzin' clutch.

Sorry for all the questions, hope this is posted in the right place. Thanks for your help!

It will only be covered if the car is under warranty, which in your case would have to be an extended warranty. It's not a recall, so the dealer won't do it unless it's under warranty, unless of course you're willing to pay for it.

Do you know if this applies to MY03 as well? There is this occasional "buzzing" noise coming from my shifter area when I let go of the gas sometimes.

I purchased a 3rd party (I believe ASE) warranty with the car which is still valid. Is this what you mean by "extended" warranty? Or does the warranty have to be extended directly from Honda?

A new clutch for free sounds pretty appetizing... I've come to learn that those things that seem to good to be true often are, though, so I won't get my hopes up.

Thanks again for the info!

The clutch buzz is only applicable to MY00 and MY01.

Give the warranty company a call and explain to them the situation and ask them if they'll cover it.

You simply copy it into your signature. It's not a "real" badge that a moderator has to add to your username.
