I drive it hard, but that's not the same thing as beating the crap out of it.
A subtle but important concept that seems to elude a lot of people

These 100k + mile posts make me proud to be a S2000 owner. No posers or garage queens here. Just guys (and gals) who love their car and love doing what it does best - driving.

to all the guys with 100k+ miles. May you have many more trouble free and safe motoring miles to come.

Glad to see the high milers on here as well. Have an MY01 with only 28K, but love driving it. Just bought an 03 Acura CL-Type S, 6 Spd, that is enjoyable itself to drive. Gotta love your hondas

New engine almost in
Was it due to natural causes (old engine) or was it from something else (like running low on oil, overrev, etc)? I'm at over 80k miles now.

Dropped a valve into cylinder #1.

Yeah, I am very broke right now.
Was this due to overrev or something?

Thumbs down

It seems like my chain tensioner is going bad - is this a normal wear and tear item or is this something that could be replaced under warranty?

Hey for all you 100k members, when did you have to change out the clutch?

I had the TSB for the buzzing clutch done @ 30k miles and have not touched the clutch since. Except for fluid changes of course. Most of my mileage is highway though.

Is this TSB for the buzzing clutch something that the dealer is obligated to perform? What is the policy exactly? What is the extent of the TSB dealing with the clutch buzz, ie replacement or adjustment? Is there an expiration in terms of timeframe?

MY01 with 56000k and a buzzin' clutch.

Sorry for all the questions, hope this is posted in the right place. Thanks for your help!
