Hey guys, I'd like to get a feel for how long the OEM shocks last (on cars with totally stock suspensions). How many of you have had to replace your shocks, and at what mileage?

If we don't get any responses here, maybe I'll start a poll.

Well I drove til 50k on the OEM setup, and another 65k on top of that with Eibachs. As mentioned in the other thread, the feel in the rear (of the car) was pretty soft after the switch which I adjusted to fairly easily. I daily drive the car to work, rev the crap out of it daily, and take spitrited canyon/mountain drives monthly....just as a point of reference.

I think shock life depends on the driver though. For instance, I have always crawled over speed bumps and take driveway entrances/exits slowly and always get alot outta the OEM stuff. In comparison, my ex used to plow over speed bumps and dips with reckless abandon in her RSX and was surprised when the tech told here it was time for new shocks at 40k.

Food for thought.
