Anyone else over 100K miles?
I once knew a guy whos dads uncle's aunt had 1.6 million on his honda civic and was going to 2 million.
700,000, 850,000.... Theres only so many times a piston can go up and down in a cylinder before the metal is warn away and 700,000 miles isnt
realistic.
Even more interesting is what a main bearing would look like at 700,000 miles.
Keep in mind that a main bearing isnt a bearing at all... its just metal sliding against metal, protected by a layer of oil.
Again, I dont think 700,000 miles is realistic.

This thread is interesting. And later I saw a thread in miataforum.com where someone posted a 93 with 406,000 miles with the original engine

I'm at 121k as of this morning's drive to work. It still puts a smile on my face and helps me get through my daily Houston commute. My S and I will have our 5 year anniversary on August 5th. What should I buy her?

I had my 93.5 infiniti G20 to 140,000 and the engine was running strong. Had other things that needed replacement but nothing bad. I really think that engine would push 250 easy. The sr20de was a great engine...7500 redline...not bad for it not being a stook. And it was also my first car so needless to say i beat that thing to hell and back....redline every shift for the first year or two im sure.

So I'm not the only one that gets their car a gift every year for our anniversary! NICE

Of course you know she's a keeper, so I have to treat her right.
