Anyone had enough and would rather drive a Civic?
Anyone here had enough of modding their S and worrying about it and having some obsession over any little thing that goes wrong with the S and is considering just driving a Civic and not worrying so much?
Less hassles.
Less fuel used.
Less people yapping with you about your car.
Less punks that want to race you all the time.
Less people telling you that your car is nice.
Less $ spent.

I also have a Civic...
I actually share it with my teenage daughter - it's a 1992 Civic SI. I drive it when I either (A) start feeling guilty about the gas I'm guzzling with my SUV, or (B) when my wife has the S2K for the day and I want a little VTEC lite!

I also have a civic (99 EX coupe with some light mods) which I usually drive to work and if I need to carry any stuff. Every time I walk out to the parking lot and get into the Civ, I think to myself, "Why am I driving this POS?" Then I remember after about 10 seconds-- it's quiet, comfortable, economical, still fun to drive in its own right, and if anything happens to it I don't really mind.
Before I got my S I really liked it as an only car, but now that I have the S I wouldn't want to go back.
I really like the new Civic, but they are not cheap. Get a good example of the several million used civics out on the road and keep your S.

Not much of a comparison, but I know exactly what you mean. When I got rid of my S, I ended up in an Xterra. While I got no enjoyment from driving it, I did have some peace of mind simply from the fact that I didn't care much about the Xterra. No parking worries. No big deal if it went a couple of weeks between washes.
Now all that being said, the new Civic is a damn good looking car.

granted I already own 3 automobiles I wouldn't mind a Fit for a daily driver.
I have two just for fun autos (The S is one)
Then I have a Tow rig for the fun cars and boat that doubles as a daily driver.
Having a 4th automobile would be crazy but I still would love having a Fit as a DD
