Anyone had enough and would rather drive a Civic?

I'd be out of my mind to give up the s2000 for a Civic, but I know what you mean.

matter of fact, it's time for me to start saving up money for a DD to supplement the s2k...it still won't be a Civic, though; something more tank/couch-like

I've by no means had enough of my S, but I can relate. The extra cost of driving the S2K isn't really an issue though. With me, the biggest issue is parking. If I'm driving somewhere where parking beside d*ckheads might be an issue, I drive my CRX. For over two years I've managed to avoid any dings, scratches, etc and I'm getting increasing anal about keeping it that way.

If only some twit with a shopping cart would put me out of my misery. Then I could just relax and enjoy the car!

FWIW the CRX is still a blast to drive, so I really can't complain.

I came from a 00 Civic SI that I drove for 5 years. And it's nice to be unassuming, nice to be able to rev the hell out of the engine and not be going 100 in the city, and its nice to be getting 25-30 mpg while doing it. Its nice to have quite a bit of room too.

Other than that the S blows the civic away in power, looks and build quality. I don't miss the extreme heat bog , the 15% powerloss with the AC on, the slowness etc...

The Si was a fun fun car that I would still drive if I could afford two cars.

But to answer the question, I haven't had enough of the S and I don't think I ever will!

Same situation here, came from a 99 Si... would hands down never trade S for a civic.. just love the power and handling abilities (200+ miles and counting till break in is over with)

Although the live-in gf does have a 06 civic for me to drive on the days we carpool!

The Si is a nice everyday car but it just wouldn't be the same without an S. Personally, I think the new Si doesn't look good at all but that's for another time and place.

I can definitely understand the appeal of a low maintenance car as an every day driver (since my S is a daily driver) and have an S for "spirited" driving occasions. But giving up the S for a Civic?!?

Not a chance.

I'd rather catch a rash from a public toilet seat than drive a Civic. Other than the S2000, the entire Honda lineup is a snooze.

If for some reason I must give up the S2000, I'll replace it with an MX-5, 350Z, or convertible Mustang GT.
