Default Anyone know how to install a shift light?

It only has 3 wires, so I'm presuming power, ground, and tach lead wire, but anyone know the best way to wire and mount it on top of the steering wheel pillar?

I tried the search function and it's not working...

So, I guess the yellow wire is power, the black wire is ground, and the blue wire is the tachometer wire?

Seems easy enough, but that means that I'm missing something.

Kumar,

Unlike yourself, I'm taller than 6', so sometimes it's hard to see the top part of the tach. Additionally, I autocross and roadrace frequently, again unlike yourself, so having a light that flashes near the rev limiter allows me to keep my eyes on the track.

since when are you so concerned with not hitting the rev limiter?

I remember one of the first threads you started after getting the car.

Oh, I don't care about hitting the rev limiter, other than the fact it slows you down a little bit. Plus, this shift light has an digital tachometer display and some cool LED's.

Thanks, Joe. Do you recall what color the wire is just to be sure?
