I found in my trunk a plastic bag containing the front license plate bracket and four moulded rubber flange looking parts with mounting holes. Anyone know what these might be for?

...four moulded rubber flange looking parts with mounting holes
without seeing them they sound like they are the stock "Strakes"... they mount under the car in front of each of the four tires. Dealer was suppose to mount them.

The strakes will scrape the ground or get knocked off by curbs and steep driveways if you're not careful. Think of them as curb feelers. If you hear a scraping sound you are approaching potential damage to your front end.

If they are the size of a dime (roughly) and match the color of your car they are plugs for the license plate holes. If they are shaped like an oval race track (50 cent sized)and are black rubber they go under the car in the tow hook tie down holes. If they look like they fit the front and rear edge of the wheel wells then they are the strakes previously note. Need more description or a photo......

Thanks guys....they'er the strakes alright! I guess the dealer was supposed to put them on. I'm wondering if I should bother installing or just leave them off, doesn't seem they serve much purpose.

They are aerodynamic aids.. as I recall it seemed like that made a real difference in drag numbers for as small as they are but I doubt if it is perceptible. If you are into high speed runs or lots of highway driving you probably want to install them.
