2002 in NA will certainly bring upon new colours. As for MSRP it might go up.

STL. I'm not too well versed in Honda history but the current Preludes fit your description. 1997 was the start of the current model and in 1999 they upped hp by 5.

If Honda boosts the Horsepower for 2002, it will be to keep up with current competition, the Boxter and Z3. Both the Z3 and Boxter have a bit more HP now than they did when the S2000 was released, as such it wouldn't shock me to see Honda give the car a 10% HP tweak.

There's been a lot of objection to an HP increase in this thread. I think it's because no one wants to own the "old version of a car with lower HP". But these things happen, you just have to deal with it.

If Honda is going to keep producing S2000's, they should make sure it's still the fastest roadster for the money and increase the performance every few years. It's good for Honda, it's good for the S2000 brand.

I have to agree that an increase in HP would be agood thing. I want to see the S2000 evolve. The difficult decision willl be whether to trade my baby with all the goodied for a new one.

Man, I really hope production ISN'T stopped. I haven't had the chance to buy one yet!!!

I think Honda'll keep the car around for a couple more years at least. I mean, why not?

Although... sad as it would be not to land an S2k someday, I wouldn't be at ALL disappointed with a shiny new Miata.

I highly doubt any potential increase in engine size, because that would mean the name of the car would change. I also doubt that they would add 10% more hp...and if they did, you could bet that the price would increase by a significant amount.

Every Canadian dealer I spoke with has absolutely no reason to believe that production will be stopped at the end of this year. Nobody has told them anything to suggest this.
