Dai Sho, how far are you from York, PA? My dealer has my yellow one coming in soon, but I wouldn't mind shopping around to see if I could get a better deal as far as trade in for my red one. My friend from work told me that several dealers down in Maryland have yellow ones on the lot. It seems like the one in York can't sell em fast enough, they have a used red one on the lot, that's it.

I suspect that we'll hear for sure in the next two months whether Honda's making the 2002's or not. I imagine they will. I dunno, my company has already ran a good many 2002 prototypes and we start 2002 production right after July 4th break. I'd say by then, we'll know what the deal is. Right now, it's all speculation, you can't beleive what the dealers say though. It would be cool if they ran them in 2002 with the introduction of the blue to the states and called it quits after 2002 with the new NSX coming out.

I do find it amusing that the PT Cruiser actually has an emblem with the word "Limited" on it (at least the ones I've seen do) when you now see those 'cars' literally all over the place!

"Limited" doesn't just refer to the number of things produced. In the case of the PT Cruiser, "limited" also can refer to class, style and desirability!

I really hope that we (US) get a 2002 model. I really want to trade my Silver for a Blue with Navi. They can quit making them after that.

I think one reason why cars are selling so badly now is cause of the stock market as well. John Eagle Honda STILL has the other two yellow ones on the floor. It's been 2.5 weeks since i was last there. My guess is witht he way things are right now, a lot of people's money are just tied up... plus it's getting hot, not warm, but hot here in Houston again...

As for losing money, I believe it. Think of how much money Honda has to spend to RD the car. I doubt the money of the 10,000 they sell each year is covering that.

This car could also have been an R&D car. There are many companies talking about electric power steering as a way to boost economy, which they will have to do. Honda is the first to implement it on a production car.

Honda has not nearly paid for the tooling alone for this car, let alone the tech bill. They, in fact, do lose money on every one, and will...for a while.

Also, the dealers are in the dark, all is verbal speculation at this time, don't belive a word they say, you most likely know more than they do, and they have an intrinsic motive to sell...it's how they make their living. Just the facts.

I have to admit that I love the fact John Eagle still has two yellows sitting on their lot. I called them in January looking for a yellow and they quoted me $38k with no options added. I ended up buying for $32,740+shipping from Ohio. Makes me chuckle to think of some dealer having to eat a little each month the car sits on his lot because he was being greedy.

Maybe Limited refers to how much the dealer gouged you...

Maybe you got gouged a LIMITED amount on the Limited, but got taken for a ride on the Touring edition
