Wondering if it's worth it, or if you prefer drying the car with a chamois.

Yes, it works fine for the large areas on the car, but you'll need a towel to follow up.

My only worry with the blade is that it might pick up some grit and drag it across the paint. I don't know if this is possible or not but I wipe the edge often to prevent possible scratches.

I use it just to try and minimize the number of towels that I use to dry. The curved surfaces of the S2000 and other design features don't lend themselves to the use of the blade very well though.

On the hood, the washer nozzles means you have to work around them. Because the hood ends flush with the upper edge of the front bumper, the edge always causes the blade to flip water back on the hood. The compound curves of the front fenders make it nearly impossible to use. Same goes with the upper rear fenders.

I normally use two old bath towels and with the blade I can just use one, but it is pretty soaked when I'm done.

Run water from hose without nozzle accross flanks for 1/2 cigar. Wash with Mother's and a lamb's wool mitten. Rinse for a long time. California water blade. Never use chamois because it strips the finish. I use my well washed 100% cotton cloths to pick up whatever water is left on car. Then I use the 100% cotton polishing coth, a bit of Mother's Show Car spray. I'm shining.

I use a thing called The Absorber. It's an artifical chamois and it soaks up water like you woulndn't believe! In fact, I just used it...

No experience with the blade, but the curves on the S would seem to me to be hard for such a device. But I love my Absorber...I think it was about 20 bucks.

Chamois strips the finish? I've never heard of that...anyone ever hear that?
