Yeah, forget about the Blade type of squeezies. I used it before picking up that 'absorber' type which had baby smooth surface and soak-up the water like sponge.
I will never go back to the blade and I actually thought it worked pretty good, how wrong was I....
Go to Auto store, you are bound to find something like 'absorber'
You know before all of the above, I once acutally drove around like a madman to dry out the waters. Forgive me if I have been foolish.

Oh, and I use the Absorber as well. It works pretty well, but I'd advise you to wash them after each time, because they soak up as much dirt as they do water. I got mine at Walmart and Pepboys for about 8-10 bucks each. Greg, inflation in Chicago is out of control!

Even the best waxes stop protecting your finish after 2 weeks - even if they still bead. If you're not waxing at least once every 6 weeks, 3 is much better, you're not treating your paint right.

We used 'chamois' at the firestations for years, but couldn't keep wax on the engines. We've switched to cotton towles, and I wouldn't use anything else. A Chamois is good on glass.

FWIW, the P21S works quite a bit better than the generic synthetic chamois I got a checker auto.

They are available from http://www.carcareonline.com/p21_drytowel_10416.html

I agree with the synthetic chamois users. I've been using one for several years, and have had great success with it.

V.T. makes an excellent point (as he often does) on keeping it clean. As soon as I'm finished with it, I throw it in the washer by itself without any soap for a "mini-wash" cycle. Then it goes into a ziplock and into the secret compartment. If a dusty dashboard or a filmy windshield really starts to bug me while I'm out cruisin', I've got something with me that I can use to clean up with.

The Absorber is the best $9 I ever spent! I just got one at WalMart, came home and gave it a try. It sure lives up to its name. It took me less than 15 minutes to dry the whole car. It soaks up the water like a sponge and you just wring it out. It's better than any chamois I ever used. Where the chamois mostly moves the water, this baby soaks it up. It comes in its own container that you store it in wet. Get one!
