I don't know if you mean the main latch or the black safety catch latch/lever. Both are part of an assembly that is sort of mounted on an angle if thats what you mean.
The whole thing is sort of angled forwards, if something was bent I think it would be obvious that it didnt line up with the rest of the stuff.

 

did your car run faster? i mean, did it perform better with the cold air effect?

 

I think I am fine then, I was worried for a second that I may have damaged my baby. No performance increase that I noticed since I imediately slowed down. Once the hood popped it looked like it would fly open at any second and the last thing I need is to get hit in the head with my own hood.
