Default AP1 AP2 and so on?

What is AP1 AP2 and so on? I am assuming that it is when the body style changed. Is this correct and if so how what years and how many times?
Thanks for your help.

Thank you.

I am also assuming that a ap1 kit, such as the Amuse R-1 front bumper, will not fit on a ap2 or am I wrong?

Thanks again.

The factory body parts have proven to be interchangable, albeit with slight modifications in come cases. There are a number of folks who have put the '04/'05 front facia on a pre-'04 models with no significant changes. The newer tail light assemblies will fit the older cars but you have to do some modifications to either the light housing or the hole it fits in to make it work but that's not too big an issue from what I've read.

Don't know about the aftermarket stuff.

FWIW!
