I understand where you're coming from there. I ride motorcycles a lot - so that's a big thing there. I think my mom is more worried about what would happen in the event of a collision caused by someone else (as my previous wreck was). My dads on my side saying that my mom will just have to live with it, but it'd be nice to prove to her its a safe car.
If you ride motorcycles alot, your mom should be super relieved that you want an s2000... or any car for that matter, A freakin pinto is safer than a motorcycle.......

I ride a lot with my dad - who now lives in Texas with her. My motorcycle is out there because we tour a lot. I'll fly into Houston and we'll take off for a week or two. The s2000 will by my baby here in ATL and when I'm living up at the Dragon running the store my dad and my uncle are opening up this summer.

Oh yeah, I'm only 20 if that makes any difference - it shouldn't. I've matured a lot since I left for college.

My friend's parents are worried about it being a convertible and so he's trying the, "Well why don't you buy me a hardtop then?" bit. I think in his case it may work. I sent him a link to this thread.

I'm 19, I'll be 20 next week. I wanted a bike for a while, but when my friend from highschool was killed on one I changed my mind. Besides, I'm about turns and this thing is quicker through tight turns than a bike.

Infinitely safer than a motorcycle....and don't we all love motorcycles!

These are safe cars if you don't test the limits on the public roads.

Drive normal, and enjoy the ride
