AP1 owners need to accept the facts at hand:

1 - AP2 is better period (to make the fat, lazy American driver happier)
2 - Mr Uehera certainly would not simply be professional and say the current Honda product is better. It's not like he's EVER been asked this question b4 and has had time to contemplate his answer's PC-ness
3 - who cares if the new CR has actually made changes more in line with the AP1's character
4 - 9>8. oops, wait a minute

couldnt he have meant the JDM AP2? which was still an F20C with 9000rpm haha EDM/ASIA/JDM S2000 FTW!
JDM AP2 has f22c.

If the F20C engine was "better" for track, why didn't Uehara integrate it to the CR?

Now that I think about it... you SHOULD have asked him when are they going to discontinue the S2000.

i drove from az to the show, and in the ap2, it was more comfortable, however it didn't feel as sporty as my ap1. i would prefer the ap1 for the looks and the tail happy performance. it rides slightly more stiff, and lets face it, a 9k redline is just plain pimp. no one can touch that with four wheels. 8k however, thats surpassed only by other cousins in the honda and acura family. there might be a very few others who can touch it outside the family... maybe.

omg! all the guy said to me was "he" preffered the AP2. he didn't give me a long story as to why and for those whose saying that he meant the JDM AP2 with the F20C the guy did say "better, more usable power, also better handling".

in the end they're both great cars its just daddy likes us USDM AP2 better...

J/K...
