Ap2 front lip
Coastal Metals splitter is a thin aluminum splitter that would attach to the bottom of the lip and protect it from scapes - it would be the sacraficial part. It is crescent shaped to more or less follow the profile of the lip on the underside projecting out in front slightly so that it can perform its "splitting" function.
I don't understand you guys who slam your cars and are then surprised when the front end hits the smallest of bumps in the road - just look at the geometry of the front edge of the bottom of the bumper/lip relative to the centre of the tire contact on the road and you will get some idea of what height of obstruction you can safely navigate without bottoming out, and then stay away from everthiing else that is higher. The lip is really made for a track environment where the pitch of the transitions in the roadway surface are very small and controlled. where the lip can do what it was intended to do.without colliding with the road surface constantly. The obvious answer is not to lower your car - even then, with the lip installed, your ability to go over bumps is impaired compared to just the plain bumper because it reduces the approach angle that can be handled.
I think the Coastal splitter is a nice protection for the bottom of the lip but it will suffer the damage that the lip would otherwise suffer. Because it does protrude out front a little, however, it may give you some more timely feedback about your position relative to the curb you are about to mount!
Not sure what those are or do

Coastal metals splitter.
Coastal metals splitter.
Your OEM lip should be static at all times. If it's moving, then it's not installed correctly. Might want to revisit that.
A splitter is a great product. Mine has been helpful but has also made me realize there is no way I can lower my car without destroying my splitter and lip!

Is there a place that sells the Coastal Metals splitter and isn't out of stock? grill-accessories.com is the only place I could find that sells it, and they're out of stock...everything is old FS/FT ads and expired ebay auctions...
Try www.mccune1.com who makes them.

Probably gonna have to email them and inquire about it...
^^^I called a while back before I got my Downforce CF one and they said that unless it says in stock on their site, it's not going to be avaalable anytime soon. I was interested in the splitter and rear 'diffuser' but no such luck.
You hear it, but shouldn't feel anything.
