Not sure where you read that. CR coilovers are different from AP1 units. (Swaybars too.) It's the steering rack that's the same as the AP1 unit (at least, the ratio of it.)
CR Comes with coilovers?

Here is my take ... and here is one of the main reasons why I returned my KW V3s and installed the CR coilovers instead ...

The adjustability part is basically useless for me, because I have zero knowledge of tuning and poor access to testing environment to tune the coilovers properly.

Trying to adjust something that I cannot adjust properly probably means I'm gonna end up worse ...
Agreed! I like the fact that the suspension is setup from factory for all types of conditions. To me adjustablility is a bad thing! - I don't want choices and wouldn't know where to start - I like the idea of the suspension being setup by a pro.

Not to mention that the CR dampers, springs and swaybars are not only designed specifically for the S2000 but also come with a Honda warranty and quality and are relatively cheap.

I've driven a CR swapped ap2...the suspension was the best "stock" s2k suspension I've ever felt. I was really surprised the change in the handling. It felt razor sharp like an ap1, but felt confident at the limit...even more so than the ap2. And the plus, it won't beat the crap out of your kidneys. I have KW v3 coilovers and I love them...but if you don't want to mess with figuring out the jounce/rebound setting and corner balancing plus want a suspension that isn't going to feel significantly more stiff...then the CR swap is a good out of the box solution.

Thanks for your educated input negcamber. Just confirmed my choice of suspension!

KW V3s are excellent but like you mentioned, they need to be configured and corner balanced etc.

According to the huge suspension test done by Sport Car Compact in which they tested various suspension setups, the KW V3 and CR suspension setups were 6 seconds faster on a ~2:12 course than a stock AP2.

The CR and KW V3s posted virtually identical lap times.

wheel gap is never cool. adjustable coilovers win 75% of the time, everytime.

i think you guys are overexaggerating on the adjustability and it being confusing. KW lays down the basics in the manual on what you should run on the street, as well was what is safe lowering heights. and that comparison wasnt the best from what ive read on here, it was not the same car used for testing, and some of the cars were modified further than others.

Well, well gap is not cool. But adjustability wins? not really ... it's like trying to tune a high-end hi-fi. Sometimes one can do more harm than good (in the performance) if things aren't tuned properly

Anyway, for me, I actually needed the ground clearnace as well. I do go through steep parking ramps. So setting the KW V3s all the way up there to match stock ride height would be a bit stupid for me.

Nevertheless, if I do track my car a lot, and have the expertise to adjust the coilovers, I would definitely go for the KW V3s. I've pretty much only read good things about them. And they also look more "cool" than my ugly OEM coilovers hehehehe
exactly my point... you DONT need to be and expert, set the coilovers to what KW recommends if you do not feel capable of figuring it out for yourself. your hyping up the adjustability way too much.
