I had a 98 Black Prelude and got so many compliments whenever it was clean. Even when the swirlies are there, they can only be seen on close inspection. I used 2 coats. One Meguilars cleaner wax, then Meguilars Carnuba. Shine would last for about a month even in the rain (of course you would have to wash it if you got road rain on it). Then just another wash, clay bar for those annoying spots, cleaner wax, carnuba. Not that hard. Only a few hours work. I HATED my silver WRX. If I had gotten black, I may have had more respect for it. Who knows.

Once you go black, you never go back!

I see you are new here. You need to pick your "forum" AND the "thread" carefully before you post your question. Your question is not related to the topic of this thread. It is better for you (in future) to start a new thread in the appropriate forum such as "S2000" talk (for this particular question).
But the quick answer is "NO", there is no chip. The chip in this car cannot be replaced but you can buy "piggy back" computers or "stand alone" computers to replace the stock one entirely.
ps. Welcome to the forum.

Black looks the best out of every color when it's clean. but I won't buy black again until I have a garage to put it in. I get tired of washing it every other day. And the paint chips break my heart. Honda's black could be a bit more glossier. I sat my car next to a black 2000 Linclon LS who's owner said that they never waxed it once and it looked shinier than my black. My next car will most likely be silver.

I used to think that...then I bought my white/red S2000 and am glad I have it and NOT black. I have 3 other cars, all black. NSX....black......Integra GSR....black.......Accord EX....black.....and all of them are a pain to keep clean, eventhough I am a fanatic about cleanliness. The S2000 will cause me far less stress, and I think it actually shows the lines of the car better. Black takes away from the body curves of the car.

Having owned a black 93MR2 Turbo and a yellow 88 CRX Si for my last two cars I can tell you that I will never go back to black again. I got noticed in both cars because of the colors, especially the MR2, but it's just not worth all the trouble. I have a garage, car cover, car duster and I wash and wax the MR2 all the time, but one quick drive and the dirt is already showing up. I have to dust the car after every drive and after 142k keeping a black car looking nice is much harder than yellow.

We get lots of rain and also pollen in Alabama, so yellow will be an easy choice for me when I buy my s2k.

Jeez after seeing all those shiny cars it makes me feel guilty about mine after a 1700 mile trip. Looks like the elbow grease will be out on Sunday!
